Prior To The Session
No obligation chats are welcomed in advance to allow you to explore the method of stopping smoking without feeling pressured into making a booking, just call 01270 501487.
If you do book, you will advised of the date, time and venue in advance in writing so you can fix your mind on the date you stop smoking and look forward to it.
You will be advised of certain things in order to maximise your chances of success. These include advice NOT to cut down or control your smoking in advance (this advice will be explained at the stop smoking session) You will also be advised to bring along your cigarettes or whatever you smoke as you will be able to smoke during the frequent breaks during the afternoon (again, why this is the case will be explained at the stop smoking session).

On The Stop Smoking Session Date Itself
You will arrive with other smokers to attend the 51/2 hour long session. We start the main session at 12.30 and aim to finish by 6.00pm. Most smokers arrive in varying states of fear, panic, apprehension and scepticism. However you will soon realise that there is no need to worry and you will feel more comfortable about stopping smoking as the session unfolds.
There is a registration process which allows time for refreshment and of course a smoke before the session begins. You then relax as your therapist begins to explain the Nicotine Trap.
During the session the fears about stopping smoking and life without cigarettes are removed as the need and desire to smoke disappears. The sessions are interesting, fun and allow for individual concern to be addressed.
At the end of the session the final cigarette is smoked and a little bit of light relaxation is used to ensure you leave feeling calm.
Afterwards
The majority of people stop smoking after this 1 x 5 - 51/2 hour group session but there are 2 x 2.5/3 hour booster sessions if required. The boosters are provided completely free of charge. They are not a repeat of the first session but are shorter and more focussed on individual issues. The stop smoking boosters start at 9 am and finish at approximately 12.15 pm.
